BA Elementary Education, Louisiana College 1983
I come from a family of educators, so it would seem logical that
I become a teacher also. I have been teaching for nineteen years.
The first five years were at Good Pine Middle School. I then transferred
to Nebo where I have been ever since.
I married Paul Whatley, who is from Nebo. I have two
children that attended Nebo. It is wonderful to have a job 5 minutes from
home and get to be with my children at the same time. I feel that I am
truly blessed.
I teach all subjects in the fourth grade. During
basketball season, I coach the Nebo girls basketball team. I have always
loved sports, so I enjoy being involved in the basketball program.
I love being a teacher. I hope that each child feels
special in some way in my class. I feel that each child has something
special about them. It is my job to find it. I guess this would be
my philosophy about teaching.
